Kevin is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a member of the Law Society of Kenya. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from the University of Nairobi and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School.
Kevin has an interest in Criminal Law Practice, Constitutional and Human Rights Law, and Public Interest Litigation. In that regard, he has represented our firm’s clients at the Supreme Court of Kenya, the Court of Appeal of Kenya, the High Court of Kenya, and subordinate courts. Therefore, he has immense experience in Criminal Defence Litigation before both the Anti-Corruption and Economic Crimes Division and the Criminal Division of our courts. For instance, Kevin was part of the legal team that litigated Hausram Limited v Nairobi City County  eKLR; Muhammed Abdalla Swazuri & 16 others v Republic  eKLR; Robert K. Ayisi v Kenya Revenue Authority & another  eKLR; Director of Public Prosecutions v Perry Mansukh Kansagara & 8 others  eKLR; Kennedy Omondi Ochieng & 37 others versus Republic, Criminal Revision No. 143 of 2019; Republic v Geoffrey Okuto Otieno, Milimani Criminal Case No. 753 of 2017; and Republic v Margaret Njoki Mburu, Kibera Criminal Case No. 4866 of 2010.
Kevin is currently involved in high octane anti-corruption cases such as the National Health Insurance Fund scam, the Kenya Revenue Authority tax evasion cases, and a number of cases facing both current and former Governors of various County Governments in Kenya. Kevin has equally defended former constitutional office holders and prominent public officers. He is a firm believer in the hallowed principles of the presumption of innocence, the separation of powers, and the constitutionally protected concepts of the sovereignty of the people, the devolution of power, and the right to fair hearing which he ferociously defends and advocates for in courts of law.
Kevin equally has experience in Public Interest Litigation, where he often offers his services pro bono, with the objective of using our courts to develop the law and advance social justice causes dear to him. Kevin also has experience in Alternative Dispute Resolution processes and has litigated before both subordinate and superior courts in diverse number of fields ranging from Land Law, Commercial Law, Constitutional and Human Rights law to Environmental Law.
Moreover, Kevin is also a political commentator, columnist, political advisor and once served as a leader in the Students Organization of Nairobi University (SONU) while undertaking his LL.B. studies. Kevin is also a born-again Christian, is married and is an avid reader of autobiographies by political leaders.
